Azure Data Architect
SG2 Recruiting is supporting a client and looking for a Data Architect. You will use cutting-edge cloud and data technologies to power the mission of federal government clients and streamline services. As a remote member of the team, you will be joining Data and Cloud professionals and accomplishing what others only dream of including:
- Working with clients to understand requirements and to envision solutions
- Applying your skills in Azure Cognitive Services, Azure PaaS, data science, data analytics, and data warehousing to pioneer Azure cloud and data services within the Department of Defense (DoD), bringing Azure Data Factory to IL4 & IL5
- Working with Azure Data & Storage, Azure Analytics & Azure IoT tools, as well as the traditional Microsoft BI stack
- Mentoring and training junior colleagues
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field and
- Six (6)+ years of Data Architecture experience
- Ability to maintain an Interim Secret Clearance
- Possess DoD 8570 security certification
- Hands on experience developing Big Data solutions utilizing Azure suite (Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Data Lake Analytics, HDInsight, Machine Learning, and Stream Analytics)
- SQL Server 2014/2016 experience
- Experience using Spark, Hive, Pig, and Scala
- Comfortable with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- In-depth knowledge of Data Warehousing and ETL/ELT
Desirable Skills are:
- Background with Data Science tools such as R, Python, and SAS is a plus;
- Microsoft related certifications such as the MCSD/MCSE;
- Experience with Tableau; and
- Experience working with Hadoop ecosystem
Location: Remote but after COVID restrictions lifted must be able to travel occasionally to Kansas and / or Georgia
