Aviation Project Leader
Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon; Denver, Colorado (Candidate may work from any of these three offices or remotely anywhere within Washington, Oregon, Colorado, or Montana)

Mead & Hunt is looking for an aviation project leader to serve in a key role on their growing aviation team. This is a career-defining opportunity for a motivated civil engineer with a background working on airport projects to reach the next level both technically and professionally. The engineer will be joining a well-established aviation group that has an extensive multi-year backlog. Typical workload involves diverse airfield services projects including full runway pavement reconstructions, terminal apron pavement expansions, and taxiway and taxilane rehabilitations.

Since the 1940’s Mead & Hunt has been a leader in airfield design and today serves many airports throughout the Northwest Mountain region. Mead & Hunt’s clients provide a steady stream of repeat work, with some client relationships spanning more than 30 years. Mead & Hunt seeks out and engages in the most challenging and exciting projects throughout the region. Clients trust Mead and Hunt with their most complex, demanding engineering needs. Their aviation team supports some of the West’s most prominent airports, including SEA, PDX, DEN, and King County International, along with regional leaders such as Spokane, Tri Cities, Pullman Moscow, Bellingham, and Glacier Park. Current work includes marquee programs like the King County Airport Taxiway Bravo Program, a multi year runway program at Grand Junction, and the $250M runway and terminal redevelopment at Pullman Moscow—offering project managers exposure to complex, high impact aviation projects.

In addition to serving in a project leader/manager capacity, the individual will support junior staff, expand the existing client base, provide training and mentorship in addition to technical design oversight and QA/QC of civil airfield projects. Individuals can be brought in at varying project leadership levels within Mead & Hunt providing the training and support needed to help fast track the individual towards the next step within their career.

Limited travel will be required for this position as most of the projects will be within a day trip for the individual and will be regional to where the person is located. Salary Range: $160,000 - $220,000 /year – Actual compensation may vary due to other factors such as: experience, skill set, and location.

Requirements:
• BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
• Licensed Professional Engineer
• 10+ years of experience
• Prior experience working on civil airport design projects
