Aviation Civil Design Engineer

Crawford Murphy & Tilly (CMT) is growing and is looking for a civil engineer with airport design experience to fill a newly created position in the Washington DC area. CMT has strong roots and backlog in the region and has been serving the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority for over forty years. This individual will play a key technical role in the civil design of local airfield projects as part of an established national aviation team. The engineer will provide technical oversight and support to junior engineers, write technical specifications, serve as the design engineer on projects, and function as a local project coordinator.

CMT has a well-established airport practice that serves large and small commercial and military airports by providing a full range of engineering and planning services. This position will focus on providing traditional airfield services including new and replacement airfield pavements, grading and drainage, airfield lighting and signage and navigational aids.

Local experience is not required, and relocation assistance will be provided.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience
• BS in Civil Engineering or related field preferred
• Licensed professional engineer preferred
• Civil 3D experience
• Experience in the civil design of airport projects
• Familiarity with commercial service airports
