General Manager – New Car Dealership (Broward County, FL)

Are you a proven leader in automotive retail looking for your next challenge? A well-established, family-owned new car dealership in Broward County, FL, is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead their team and drive continued growth. While volume has dipped a bit since the Covid era, the store sits in a high-demand market with significant opportunity to regain market share and push for new growth. The dealership has strong grosses, but volume is not where it should be. This role requires a hands-on, results-oriented operator with a deep understanding of dealership performance, team development, and retail strategy. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record of increasing volume, improving profitability, and cultivating a high-performing, customer-focused culture. Must be process-oriented and a clear communicator that leads by example.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day dealership operations across sales, service, and finance departments
- Drive profitability, CSI, and employee engagement
- Build and develop a high-performing, customer-focused team
- Develop and execute strategic plans to increase vehicle sales and regain market share
- Lead, coach, and hold accountable sales, F&I, and management teams across departments
- Analyze pricing, inventory, and digital marketing effectiveness to optimize performance
- Implement effective sales processes and inventory strategies
- Maintain strong OEM relationships and ensure compliance with manufacturer guidelines
- Support fixed operations and used vehicle performance to drive overall store profitability
- Champion a positive and ethical dealership culture
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5 years of automotive management experience, with a strong track record as a GSM or GM
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to manage P&L and deliver consistent performance results
- Hands-on leadership style with a passion for customer satisfaction
- Strong operational knowledge of both front-end and fixed ops
- Florida dealership experience preferred
Compensation
- Competitive salary with performance-based bonus structure. Anticipated first year earnings in the $250,000 - $300,000++ range with further growth opportunity as volume grows (uncapped potential). The goal is that this GM will move the needle and earn well over 300k.
