Position: Automotive Controller
Location: Warwick, RI
Compensation: $110k–$115k

Job Description:
Experienced Automotive Controller needed for a well-established new car dealership in the Warwick, RI area. This position has opened up due to the current Controller transferring internally within the organization. Great opportunity for someone looking to step into a well-run operation with clean books.

The successful candidate is well versed in dealership accounting. Moreover, the successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, responsible for overseeing a small office staff of 2–3 team members, managing the day-to-day accounting functions, and ensuring timely and accurate month-end close.

The store averages approximately 70 retail units per month and is part of a stable, long-standing group with strong internal processes and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily accounting operations and office staff
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and month-end close
  • Cleaning schedules, bank recs, etc.
  • Work closely with the General Manager and corporate team to maintain clean and accurate books
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies and procedures
  • Contribute to a positive, team-oriented dealership environment

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as an Automotive Controller or Office Manager required
  • Strong knowledge of dealership accounting processes
  • Proven ability to lead a small team effectively
  • CDK or other DMS experience preferred
