Our service department is looking for a full-time auto glass installation tech.

The Auto Glass Technician is responsible for installing and repairing auto glass on a variety of vehicles. This includes windshields, side and rear windows, and mirrors. The Auto Glass Installer must be able to work efficiently and accurately to ensure that all installations and repairs meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Measure and cut auto glass to the appropriate size and shape for installation
• Clean and prepare surfaces for auto glass installation
• Remove and dispose of old auto glass according to safety regulations
• Install new auto glass, using adhesives and other materials as needed
• Inspect installed auto glass for proper fit and finish
• Repair chips and cracks in auto glass using specialized repair techniques
• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations
• Maintain correct certifications for the role
• Help order the replacement windshields

Skills

• Previous experience as an auto glass installer or related field preferred
• Knowledge of auto glass installation and repair techniques
• Ability to read and interpret technical instructions
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently
• Good physical condition, as the job may involve lifting and carrying heavy objects
