About Our Client

Our client is a long-established Australian manufacturing and engineering business operating across a range of industrial and commercial sectors. With operations across multiple sites, they are recognised for delivering quality workmanship, innovative solutions, and reliable service to customers throughout Australia and overseas.

Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join their team in a permanent, full-time role within a modern manufacturing environment.

About The Role

This is a hands-on trade role focused on the electrical installation, integration, and commissioning of specialised mobile equipment and custom-built systems. Working from technical drawings and specifications, you will be involved throughout the build process — from initial wiring and component installation through to testing, programming, and final sign-off. The role offers strong variety, with projects differing in scope, complexity, and configuration.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Completing electrical installations from technical drawings, including wiring, cable termination, programming, and final quality checks

  • Testing and verifying electrical systems to ensure correct operation and compliance

  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across a range of mobile equipment and custom-built systems

  • Installing and integrating electrical components into custom builds and assemblies

  • Following safe work procedures and contributing to a positive and safety-focused team environment

About You

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification in Auto Electrics, OR demonstrated experience as a Trades Assistant with a strong automotive electrical background

  • Competence in fault-finding and interpreting circuit diagrams

  • The ability to read and work from technical drawings

  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship

  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team

  • Physical capability to perform repetitive tasks including lifting, bending, and twisting

  • Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screening
