Join our Wisconsin-based team as an Audit Manager where you will drive assurance engagements across diverse sectors such as for-profit, not-for-profit, governmental, and ERISA audits. In this role, you will manage, develop, and mentor engagement teams, while ensuring that client needs are met with the highest standards of professionalism and expertise. Salary: $83,000 - $123,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage financial statement audits, compliance audits, reviews, compilations, and special projects.
- Supervise and lead engagement teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnote disclosures, compliance reports, and client communications.
- Develop strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Implement new accounting and auditing standards, ensuring they seamlessly integrate into client operations.
- Evaluate team performance and foster professional growth through ongoing mentorship and training.
- Lead training initiatives for assurance team members and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage client communications to facilitate efficient engagement wrap-up.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- Current CPA license.
- Minimum 4 years of audit experience, preferably in a public accounting setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in GAAP and GAAS standards; GAS experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with oversight agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Strong leadership skills to train staff and oversee multiple engagements simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with governmental audits and ERISA audits.
- Familiarity with industries such as healthcare, real estate, construction, manufacturing, and arts.
Skills:
- Expert knowledge of financial accounting, cost accounting, and auditing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting/audit software.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Leadership capabilities for training and development of audit staff.
