JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Impulse, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Audit Manager in Southfield MI. Our client is a tax accounting firm. The Audit Manager is responsible to examine, analyze, and interpret accounting records to prepare financial statements, give advice, or audit and evaluate statements prepared by others.

Responsibilities of a Audit Manager includes:

• Take the lead in team management, including the training and professional development of staff.
• Proactively participate in audit proposals and play a key role in the integration of new clients.
• Foster strong client relationships with the aim of becoming their trusted business consultant.
• Recognize opportunities for cross-selling within client interactions.
• Assume responsibility for the management of audit engagements and the supervision of other attestation projects.
• Supervise the preparation of financial statements adhering to US GAAP standards.
• Function as a component auditor in a group audit scenario, overseeing related group reporting requirements.

Job Requirements of a Audit Manager:

• In-depth knowledge of GAAP guidelines and Sarbanes-Oxley rules and regulations
• Strong background and experience with audit methodologies and techniques
• Prior success conducting external or internal audits
• Ability to build relationships while asking tough questions
• Excellent written and oral skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills

REQUIRED Experience and Education:

• 3—5 years of current experience in public accounting.
• CPA license.
• Preferred experience with CCH Axcess & ProSystem fx Engagement.
