Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and conduct audits according to auditing standards specifically tailored for nonprofit organizations.
- Establish robust relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact and delivering stellar client services.
- Identify operational and financial risks or issues and suggest improvements to ensure client satisfaction.
- Effectively communicate progress and outcomes of audit processes to stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Ensure completion of audit projects aligning with engagement timelines, firm objectives, and client expectations.
- Occasional travel to client sites to facilitate audits and strengthen client partnerships.
- Engage in and contribute to training sessions and firm-wide activities to uphold the firm’s standards of excellence.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- A profound passion for serving nonprofit organizations expressed through previous roles or engagements.
- Demonstrated loyalty and an eagerness to embrace continuous learning within the accounting and nonprofit sectors.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in audit, preferably within a public accounting environment.
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a closely related field is required.
- Active CPA license or significant progress toward obtaining CPA certification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication aptitude.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Rigorous attention to detail with a methodical approach to problem-solving.
