Audit Associate

As an Audit Associate, you will work as part of a team responsible for performing financial audits and assurance engagements. You will assist in examining financial records, processes, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations. This position offers hands-on experience, professional development, and exposure to a wide range of industries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and executing audit engagements under the supervision of senior auditors or audit managers.

  • Perform tests of controls and substantive procedures on financial accounts.

  • Analyze client accounting and financial reporting systems for accuracy and completeness.

  • Prepare audit workpapers and document findings in compliance with firm standards.

  • Identify accounting and auditing issues and propose solutions.

  • Communicate findings and audit progress with team members and clients.

  • Support the preparation of audit reports and financial statements.

  • Stay up to date with accounting and auditing standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS, PCAOB).

  • Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

  • Eligibility to sit for CPA (or actively pursuing certification) is preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing procedures.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with audit software is a plus.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
