Salary: $56,500 - $78,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide athletic support and treatment within the scope of the NATA certification and Ohio license at school athletic functions and in rehabilitation settings.
- Collaborate effectively with team physicians to discuss treatment plans and progress of athletes' injuries.
- Evaluate and assess injuries and conditions of athletes, including potential underlying issues, to determine appropriate treatment strategies.
- Implement treatment protocols as prescribed by the team or event physicians.
- Demonstrate expertise in taping, strapping, bracing, and fitting of athletic equipment to support and prevent injuries.
- Provide emergency care and first aid to athletes during games and training sessions as needed.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Current NATA certification required.
- Valid Ohio Athletic Training license.
- Proven experience working as an athletic trainer, preferably in a school or collegiate environment.
- Strong understanding of sports medicine, injury treatment, and rehabilitation protocols.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to cover athletic events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Athletic Training or related field.
- Additional certifications in areas such as strength and conditioning, physical therapy, or emergency care.
- Experience working in a hospital-based sports medicine program.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement injury prevention and conditioning programs.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with athletes, coaches, and medical professionals.
