Practice Overview

Our client is dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate veterinary care to pets and their families. They take pride in treating every patient as if they were our own, ensuring that each animal receives the best possible care from their experienced team. They have built lasting relationships with clients, many of whom have been with them for over 20 to 30 years, and much of their new clientele comes through word-of-mouth referrals from loyal families. This strong foundation allows them to offer advanced veterinary services, including in-house diagnostics with state-of-the-art equipment such as digital radiology, ultrasound, and CO2 surgical laser technology. They are also equipped with an in-house laboratory featuring Idexx machines for quick and accurate lab work, as well as a Zoetis Vetscan Imagyst for fast pathologist review. Our client is committed to the betterment of their team's skill set and encourages a growth mindset to learn more advanced techniques and procedures.

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases.
  • Perform general wellness exams and surgeries if desired.
  • Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care.
  • Maintain a positive work environment.
  • Collaborating with team members on patient care.
  • Educating clients on proper care for their pets with a focus on preventative care.
  • Building rewarding, long term relationships with clients and their animals.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited program is required.
  • Being licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Connecticut is required.
  • New graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members.
  • Strong surgical skills is a plus
  • Capability to perform routine surgeries
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for continuous education
  • Continuous building of client and patient relationships
