Location
Our client is a full-service veterinary hospital located in the southeast region of Houston, Texas. Known for being one of the fastest growing cities in the country, Houston offers its residents world-class restaurants, diverse communities, numerous waterways, multiple sports teams, and a low cost of living. Practice Overview
Our client provides comprehensive medical, diagnostic, surgical, and dental care to small and exotic animals. Their owner has been on the executive board for the Harris County Veterinary Medical Association for over seven years. Therefore, their hospital is continuously learning as medicine progresses. Their facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment such as a fully equipped lab, two chemistry analyzers, a dedicated surgery suite, a radiosurgery machine, ultrasound, digital radiography, dental x-ray machines, cold laser for therapy, and much more! Their team consists of passionate veterinary professionals who foster a collaborative, “family” like educational environment in order to deliver high quality care.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Build and maintain lasting client relationships
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a variety of small animal cases with the opportunity to treat exotics too
- Perform general wellness exams and surgeries
- Maintain a high level of client communication and patient care
- Guide and utilize exceptional support staff
- Maintain a positive work environment and promote teamwork
Qualifications
- Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from an accredited school required
- Licensed or able to become licensed in the state of Texas
- Minimum of two years of experience required
- General surgical skills required
- Experience working internal medicine cases preferred
- Experience or interest in working exotic animal cases is a PLUS! (About 5% of our business.)
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous education and growth
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt and be flexible
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Team player with a passion for mentoring and working with others
