We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Litigation Attorney to join our Hartford-based law firm, recognized among the AmLaw 200. Salary: $145,000 - $155,000 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and comprehensive legal memoranda.
- Actively represent clients in various stages of litigation in both state and federal courts, including pre-trial and trial phases.
- Partake in discovery processes, including managing collection, review of documents, and conducting depositions.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers to develop strategies for cases and participate in trial preparations.
- Handle multiple complex legal cases concurrently, ensuring meticulous attention to details and adherence to timelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing them with timely updates and strategic advice.
- Maintain the highest standards of client service, ensuring responsive and clear communication at all stages of litigation.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- JD from a top-tier law school with exemplary academic credentials.
- Current Bar Admission in Connecticut.
- At least 1–3 years of robust litigation experience within a law firm environment.
- Demonstrated experience handling litigation matters in both state and federal courts.
- Proven analytical abilities and excellent legal writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior clerkship experience, especially in federal courts.
- Familiarity with or exposure to employment law issues.
- Demonstrated history of managing client relationships and maintaining high levels of client satisfaction.
- Experience in high-stakes or complex litigation scenarios.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training in litigation practices.
