Associate Director of Marketing

General Summary:

Directs and develops an organization's marketing policies and objectives. Oversees market research and designs marketing plans for specific products, services, or business lines. Reviews changes in the marketplace and recommends marketing strategy to the top management. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to top management. Manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, coordinate and execute all marketing strategies and implement tactical plans that meet and exceed company expectations for revenue growth
  • Develop unique value propositions, partnerships as well as call-to-action advertising targeted toward key customer segments and targeted verticals
  • Lead and manage Digital Marketing, Public Relations, Sales Enablement, Online Marketing, Trade Show and Event Marketing and Creative Services
  • Achieve targeted results and ensure timely and effective execution of marketing tactics and programs
  • Develop benchmark criteria to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs
  • Conduct and analyze market research to determine competitiveness
  • Measure the effectiveness and ROI of the marketing department and implement improvements as required
  • Establish Executive View Dashboard for visibility of KPIs and ROI marketing metrics
  • Identify, interpret, and capitalize on marketing trends
  • Manage a marketing budget with clear KPIs and metrics for ROI
  • Coach, mentor, and raise the team's ability to deliver and exceed expectations while creating opportunities for succession talent
  • Research and analyze economic trends, buying habits and the demographic characteristics of consumers, their tastes and preferences for company products and those of competitors
  • Work closely with Product, Sales and senior executives to create demand and recognition for the Company and its products

Job Requirements:

  • B.S. degree or college diploma in business
  • 5-7 years in Marketing roles with 2-4 years management experience
  • A track record of performance in meeting targets and objectives
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing and lead generation
  • Customer-Centric Content Marketing
  • Strong analytical, planning, forecasting and budgeting/financial skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Possess a customer-centric philosophy for marketing
  • Creative, yet pragmatic approach to marketing
  • Respectful and outstanding leadership skills that motivates team to exceed expectations

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in an office environment. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment:

The work environment is fast-paced and demanding. Off-shift and weekend duties may be required as assigned by the VP of Business Development. Employee may be required to travel by airplane and/or automobile. Travel is estimated at 10-15%.
