Dagen is recruiting an Associate, Construction Finance for a growing LNG client located in Downtown Houston. This is a full-time, in-office position supporting large-scale, multi-billion-dollar capital projects.

The Associate will support the Construction Finance team with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams and present financial insights to senior leadership to support informed decision-making.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial management support for assigned business area(s)

  • Develop initial project budgets and maintain forecast updates

  • Track and report actuals, including variance and trend analysis

  • Support liquidity and change management activities

  • Review contracts and assess supplier risk

  • Assist with accounting treatments and financial controls

  • Prepare executive-level presentations on financial performance

  • Deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting

  • Support external reporting requirements

  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis as requested

  • Partner with project controls, construction, engineering, development, and accounting leaders to gather data and align financial objectives

  • Drive continuous process improvement, including streamlining financial processes, enhancing reporting tools, and building financial models


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field

  • 2–3 years of experience in Finance, Cost Engineering, Project Controls, Accounting, or a related discipline

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with a solid understanding of financial concepts

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, unstructured environment and manage ambiguity

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for executive audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and collaborate effectively

  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and ability to maintain confidentiality

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling

  • Willingness to work in-office daily

  • Ability to travel occasionally to construction sites or the Arlington office
