Our client, an established law firm, is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Associate Attorney with over 5 years of experience in asbestos or toxic tort litigation. The ideal candidate will be proficient in complex legal matters and have a strong commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
Responsibilities:
- Take and defend expert and witness depositions to gather critical information for litigation.
- Draft original motions and other litigation-related documents in complex matters, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Prepare discovery requests and responses to be exchanged with opposing parties, managing the exchange of information effectively.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships through both oral and written communication.
- Assist with trial preparation, including the drafting of motions in limine, exhibit lists, and witness lists to ensure readiness for court proceedings.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in asbestos or toxic tort litigation is required.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from a top law school.
- Active California State Bar License.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a billable work environment.
- A self-motivated, high-energy individual who is willing to do whatever it takes to meet deadlines and deliver results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a sharp attention to detail.
