Associate Attorney - IP Litigation

Salary: $310,000.00 - $420,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Represent clients in high-stakes intellectual property litigation across various jurisdictions.
  • Manage complex litigation cases with a focus on intellectual property, leveraging both technical and legal expertise.
  • Work collaboratively within a team of skilled IP attorneys to develop and implement strategic legal approaches.
  • Participate in all phases of the litigation process, from initiation of the case to the discovery stage, through trial, post-trial, and appeal proceedings.
  • Provide legal research, draft pleadings, and handle motions practice and briefing.
  • Maintain frequent client interaction to provide status updates and strategic advice.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
  • 3-5 years of experience in intellectual property litigation.
  • Admitted to practice in one of the states: Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, New York, or Washington D.C., or capable of securing admission.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven record in effective client and team interaction.
  • Display the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A technical background, ideally with exposure to legal issues related to engineering or computer science.
  • An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Experience with international intellectual property law and multi-jurisdictional cases.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple complex cases effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Strong strategic thinking and legal analytical skills.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Advanced litigation skills, particularly in intellectual property.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of conveying concepts to a diverse audience.
  • Proficiency with legal research tools like Westlaw or LexisNexis.
