Associate – Capital Markets / Private Equity

Short Hills NJ – hybrid (remote options)

Salary - $100-115K plus bonus

Benefits: Salary plus generous bonus, PTO including extended WFH/remote options during summer and holidays.

In this role you will be part of a team of professionals developing monthly, quarterly and yearend financial reporting for this global company. As an Associate, you will be responsible to:

• Prepare month reconciliations for various general ledger accounts including cash and equity compensation
• Prepare monthly journal entries related to cash and equity compensation, including entries in foreign currencies
• Prepare quarterly compensation related financial reporting including commission calculations and reconciliations
• Prepare various compensation statements (including year-end compensation, commission, etc.)
• Work with other company departments including tax and finance to maintain/develop/update various monthly reporting
• Assist with process improvement projects and software updates/implementations
• Work closely with auditors for year end and SOX audits
• Prepare ad hoc analysis and support other management initiatives

EDUCATION and WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field of study.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in internal or external audit or examination, or equivalent experience.
• CPA helpful but not required
• Prior Equity Based Compensation (ASC718) experience desired.
• Familiarity with Payroll and ADP helpful
• Excellent Excel skills required
