Job Description

We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the successful lease-up and day-to-day operations of a newly constructed luxury apartment community. This role is ideal for a motivated multifamily professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at resident communication, and understands the elevated service expectations of a luxury brand.

The Assistant Property Manager will play a critical role during lease-up—supporting leasing, resident onboarding, financial administration, and operational coordination—while helping establish strong systems, culture, and resident satisfaction from day one. This is a unique opportunity to help shape the operations, culture, and resident experience of a brand-new luxury community. The Assistant Property Manager will gain hands-on lease-up experience, expanded operational exposure, and the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership role within the organization.

Lease-Up & Resident Experience

  • Support leasing and marketing efforts to achieve and sustain lease-up velocity
  • Assist with resident onboarding, move-ins, renewals, and move-outs
  • Deliver high-touch, professional resident communication aligned with luxury standards
  • Address resident questions and concerns promptly and diplomatically
  • Support resident retention initiatives and community engagement efforts

Operational & Administrative Support

  • Assist the Property Manager with daily operations of the community
  • Manage resident files, lease documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Coordinate with maintenance and leasing teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Support service request tracking and follow-up to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist with vendor coordination and work order documentation

Financial & Reporting Duties

  • Process rent payments, collections, and delinquency follow-up
  • Assist with accounts payable, invoice processing, and expense tracking
  • Support month-end reporting, audits, and financial accuracy
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and fair housing regulations

Team & Culture Support

  • Act as a visible, supportive presence for onsite team members
  • Step in as a leader in the Property Manager’s absence when needed
  • Contribute to building a strong service culture during the lease-up phase

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–4 years of multifamily property management experience
  • Prior lease-up experience strongly preferred
  • Experience in luxury, Class A, high-rise, or mid-rise communities preferred
  • Strong understanding of leasing, resident relations, and property operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency with property management software (Yardi, RealPage, MRI, or similar)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Professional demeanor with a customer-service mindset

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation and performance incentives
  • Comprehensive benefits package (medical, dental, vision, 401k, PTO)
  • Opportunity to be part of an exciting luxury lease-up from the ground floor
  • Career growth within a dynamic, growing organization
  • Collaborative, professional team environment
