Business Development & Proposal Support
- Assists in identifying new project opportunities and supports the management team in developing pursuit strategies.
- Helps research potential markets, clients, and emerging technologies in the geotechnical and civil engineering sectors.
- Supports preparation of proposals, including risk assessment, cost estimating, engineering input, site visits, and client Q&A.
- Assists in contract review and ensures understanding of key project requirements.
Coordinates with the pre-construction team as needed.
Risk Management
- Understands and follows company risk management policies and procedures.
- Recognizes potential risks on assigned projects and escalates to the Project Manager or management team for mitigation.
Initial Planning
- Assists with project start-up activities including design reviews, submittals, material procurement, scheduling, and pre-job planning.
- Participates in pre-project meetings with the Superintendent and other stakeholders.
- Supports the development of project execution plans to maximize efficiency and profitability.
- Monitors daily progress to ensure work meets specified requirements.
- Supports the project team in tracking schedules, budgets, and production goals.
- Helps identify and address potential challenges or opportunities to improve project performance.
- Ensures compliance with all OSHA and company safety requirements on assigned tasks.
- Supports the response to safety incidents in partnership with HSEQ and project leadership.
- Assists in resolving quality control issues and supports stop-work authority when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, civil construction, or related field.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office, scheduling software, and industry-specific tools).
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
