Our client is looking for a strong Assistant Project Manager- Construction to oversee the day-to-day onsite construction management of a projects with our Clients team.

Our client is looking for a strong Assistant Project Manager- Construction to oversee the day-to-day onsite construction management of a projects with our Clients team.
OVERVIEW:
As a Assistant Project Manager- Construction you will be reporting to the Construction Manager, and Project Managers. Tasks may vary depending on skill set and abilities. However the Assistant Project Manager- Construction is responsible for the overall day-to-day onsite construction management of a project. You will be part of Our Clients onsite team tasked with making sure project implementation with our trade partners is coordinated, project and company standards are met, and ensuring a positive Client experience.
This individual will be required to either relocate or be located in the region as the responsibility requires daily onsite presence. This job opening is specifically for a large, multi-year wastewater industrial project.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with Construction Manager to ensure project success.
• Ensure subcontractors, vendors, and all site personnel including visitors live up to our safety standards and maintain a healthy safe working environment.
• Assist with the developing, maintaining, and updating the overall project schedule as well as short term and long-term planning with project team.
• Identify, plan, coordinate, and execute critical work items.
• Responsible for jobsite mobilization, movement, and demobilization logistics.
• Review and approve daily work tickets and maintain daily logs of work performed onsite.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and consultants.
• Coordinate work between trades or subcontractors.
• Regularly communicate, formally and informally, company goals, policies, plans and priorities to field personnel.
• Manage project costs and changes in scope.
• Manage close out punch list and commissioning activities in a timely manner.
• Review contracts, submittals, and installation documents to verify completeness and installation compliance.
• Assist engineering team in writing and reviewing scopes of the work.
• Assist engineering team with subcontractor, vendor, and supplier bid procurement.
• Resolve subcontractor disputes.
• Schedule training to facility personnel when turning over building
• Inspect Equipment upon delivery and inventory delivery tickets.
• Prepare, log, file and distribute Construction Manager daily reports.
• Ensure client concerns are resolved in a timely manner.
• Eliminate waste and cut unnecessary costs.
• Leave things more organized than you found them.
• Identify potential issues and solve problems.
• Treat clients and project partners better than they expect.
• Offer help to co-workers before they ask.
• Act as steward of the Companies culture.
REQUIREMENTS:
• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Architecture or Facilities Management, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 2+ years of experience / leadership of trades, field management and/or project management. Civil and Structural experience a strongly desired
• Knowledge of construction management, commercial / Industrial building process, and OSHA standards.
• OSHA 30 certification (or must be obtained within 6 months of assuming position).
• PMP is a bonus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project scheduling software.
• In the Region Required and able to travel to project sites as needed
