An esteemed nursing home in New Orleans, LA, is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Nursing Home Administrator to strategically support and manage our facility's operations. This critical role involves aiding the Nursing Home Administrator in ensuring the highest level of care for our residents while maintaining strict compliance with health care regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will play a key role in leadership, facility management, regulatory compliance, and community relations, making a significant impact on the lives of our residents and their families.
Salary: $83,200 - $114,400 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Nursing Home Administrator in overall facility management, including supervising day-to-day operations to achieve high-quality care and resident satisfaction.
- Monitor adherence to state and federal regulations, particularly compliance with CMS and LDH guidelines to maintain operational excellence and integrity.
- Collaborate with department heads to manage clinical and administrative functions, ensuring seamless provision of services and care.
- Play a pivotal role in budgeting, financial forecasting, and identifying operational improvements to enhance facility effectiveness.
- Address and resolve resident and family concerns promptly to ensure a wholesome and nurturing environment.
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance and performance improvement programs to meet and exceed regulatory standards.
- Prepare for and facilitate state and federal inspection processes, guaranteeing compliance with all mandatory regulations.
- Develop and foster positive relationships with staff, residents, their families, and the broader community to promote a favorable brand image.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Active Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) license in the state of Louisiana.
- At least 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare, specifically within a long-term or nursing home care setting.
- Proven knowledge and understanding of Medicare/Medicaid regulations, CMS compliance, and LDH standards.
- Exceptional communication skills to effectively deal with various stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the ability to act swiftly under pressure.
- Experience in financial management, including budget planning and cost control within a healthcare environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a relevant field preferred.
- Prior experience in an administrative role within a high-volume nursing home.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare IT infrastructure.
- Additional certifications related to healthcare administration or elderly care.
