Assistant Manager - Fertilizer Operations

What you will be doing:

Assisting in the management of daily operations, including overseeing equipment, maintenance activities, and rolling stock.
Supervising and supporting a four-person operational team to ensure smooth performance.
Training new hires and leading the onboarding process.
Enforcing safety protocols and compliance with DOT, OSHA, and environmental regulations.
Preparing operational budgets and maintaining accurate records for operational efficiency.

A successful candidate for this Assistant Manager role will possess the following:

At least 5 years of leadership experience in the fertilizer industry.
A high school diploma or equivalent (Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
A valid Class A CDL or willingness to obtain one within 120 days of employment (company-paid).
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word).
Knowledge of safety and environmental compliance standards (DOT, OSHA, PSM).
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to manage and motivate teams.
Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience are a plus.

Compensation: Competitive and commensurate with experience, $80-125K.
