Assistant General Counsel - Generation

Our client, a large clean and carbon-free energy generating company, is looking to fill the role of Assistant General Counsel– Generation. The position offers the successful candidate the opportunity to handle all generation-related legal matters including project development, operations and other matters. The position is fully remote.

What you’ll do:

• Handle all aspects of company’s generation business including project development, project finance, commercial contracts, and operations matters
• Coordinate with and advise internal development and operations clients
• Provide clients with risk assessments and solutions
• Manage outside counsel

What you will need:

• JD Degree from accredited law school
• Licensed to practice law in relevant jurisdiction
• At least 5-8 years’ relevant legal experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
• Excellent communications and legal research and analysis skills
• Experience in independent power project development & operations
