This role will be responsible for:

Assisting in the planning, execution, and evaluation of plant breeding programs.
Ability to create your own programs and develop your own varieties.
Managing data collection, analysis, and reporting to support breeding objectives.
Coordinating greenhouse, field, and laboratory activities.
Ensuring adherence to industry standards, safety protocols, and quality goals.

Expectations will include:

Developing a deep understanding of existing breeding programs to seamlessly transition into a leadership role.
Actively participating in breeding trials and plant selection processes.
Communicating effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Staying informed of industry trends and integrating innovative breeding strategies.

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish required).
A degree in Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
Previous experience in plant breeding, research, or applied horticulture.
Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
Passion for horticultural plants and a commitment to continuous learning.

Compensation: Will depend on experience, targeting $75-$90K base plus incentives.
