This financially rock solid hospital system is looking for a Emergency Services Leader with a track record of achievement and stability in their career to help take a strong staff and ancillary departments to the next level of service and success.
The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting with twenty-four hour planning, special emphasis on coordination of nursing care of trauma patients, staff development and education, coordination of duties, and evaluation of clinical functions within the department. The individual is accountable to the Director of the Emergency Department, Chief Nursing Officer and develops a working relationship with the Medical Trauma Director. Education, teaching and unit development is top priority. Effective interpersonal skills, knowledge, support of the mission and an understanding of the department and organizational policies are required.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent. Current American Heart HeartSaver or Basic Life Support (BLS) card.
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Two years of Emergency Department clinical experience.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational skills, and computer knowledgeable.
- Demonstrates knowledge of clinical and managerial processes.
- Ability to apply systems theories to solutions.
- Certification: TNCC, PALS, ACLS, ENCP and CEN preferred.
- Ability to coordinate and provide educational programs.
- Licensure: Registered Nurse with licensure in the State of New Mexico
- Performs related responsibilities as assigned.
