About Our Client

Our client located in Hamilton is seeking an energetic and operationally-minded Assistant Controller to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Managing the day-to-day accounting process and reporting to the Controller
  • Ensuring a timely, accurate month-end close, preparing results reporting and insightful analysis
  • Maintaining effective internal controls and identifying opportunities for improved controls
  • Providing current to prior year results analysis in support of the budget process
  • Coordinating the external audit
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience
  • A recognized professional accounting designation or pursuing
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and a general system savvy that includes the ability to extract and analyze large data sets
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and relationship-building abilities
