Job Description
PROFILE:
Our client is an automotive manufacturer of in the Bowling Green area. Client is currently restructuring their Accounting team at this time and is simultaneously growing their footprint at the local and national level for manufacturing operations. The company has a strong customer and product base that provides a stable long term work environment.
POSITION:
Our client is seeking a Sr. level Accounting/ Finance leader who can join a growing team and help with a department and plant wide restructuring. In this role you will have plant responsibility and report to Director of US Finance. We are seeking applicants who have Accounting Management and Cost Accounting experience. Ideal applicants will also have demonstrated Financial Analysis experience. Role will encapsulate normal Accounting functions such as monthly/quarterly/ yearly closings and other related functions.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have prior Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Must have SAP experience (highly important)
- Must be able to lead a team of Accounting Professionals- prior leadership experience desired
- Ideal candidates will have extensive Costing experience
- Ideal candidates will have a Finance related degree/ CPA or MBA
- Prepare monthly cost accounting journal entries
- Perform standard cost variance analysis
- Prepare monthly cost variance analysis (current cost vs. standard cost)
- Prepare monthly cost and inventory related journal entries
- Setup standard cost, variance analysis
- Perform inventory and cost accounting duties
- Generate necessary cost accounting entries and reconciliations
- Perform cost and variance analysis
- Prepare month end cost reporting and analysis
- Perform monthly variance analysis to standard costs
- Prepare month-end cost accounting journal entries, and closing activities for inventory accounts
- Maintain standard manufacturing cost system and issue monthly variance analysis
- Review the month end inventory journal entries
- Review cost, variance analysis, and cost controls
- Analyze the cost accounting results
- Analyze inventory ledger accounts and physical inventory count variances
- Perform cost accounting activities including standard cost development, average pricing analysis, margin and cost ratio analysis, inventory control, variance analysis
- Preparing cost reports related to incurred cost
- Analyze actual manufacturing costs vs. standard cost and prepare periodic reporting comparing standard costs to actual production costs
- Prepare inventory journal entries and reconciliations
