We are partnering with a growing and reputable organization to find an Assistant Controller who will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and reporting. Responsibilities
- Assist in managing all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
- Supervise and support the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
- Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, and other key financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant financial regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
- Support the preparation of financial analysis and reports for senior management.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
- Provide leadership and training to junior accounting staff.
- Participate in strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
- 4-6 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
- Experience managing accounting teams and financial close processes.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in manufacturing or multi-location companies is a plus.
