Job Description

We are partnering with a growing and reputable organization to find an Assistant Controller who will play a key role in overseeing financial operations and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity for an accounting professional looking to step into a leadership position and contribute to the overall financial success of a dynamic company.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing all aspects of financial reporting, including month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing.
  • Supervise and support the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Prepare and review balance sheets, income statements, and other key financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and all relevant financial regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Assist with audits and collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
  • Support the preparation of financial analysis and reports for senior management.
  • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.
  • Provide leadership and training to junior accounting staff.
  • Participate in strategic financial planning and decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • 4-6 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or a related field.
  • Experience managing accounting teams and financial close processes.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting regulations.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Experience in manufacturing or multi-location companies is a plus.
