Assistant Compliance Officer

Responsibilities:
This position provides an opportunity to demonstrate your abilities and ascend to the Compliance Officer position. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, display a strong work ethic, and possess excellent organizational, writing, and time management skills. The primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
  • Monitor and implement compliance regulations and changes set forth by Federal and State regulatory agencies that result in satisfactory third party audits and regulatory examinations. This will be achieved by implementing a strong compliance management program
  • Develop and maintain rapport with the staff and management to effectively communicate and train our team on relative compliance information
  • Identify and communicate compliance deficiencies and potential problems to management along with recommendations for improvement
  • Track all issues requiring corrective action and evidence corrective action has been taken
  • Collaborate to establish and complete compliance self-assessment (audit) program to maintain compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Track any customer complaints, along with effective root cause and trending analysis.
  • Conduct timely, accurate, and thorough exam preparation as well as successful management of the exam process
  • Implement and oversee training program for bank staff on compliance regulations
  • Assist in miscellaneous operations projects as assigned

Qualifications / education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred
  • At least 2-4 year years’ experience in banking compliance
  • Proficiency in all programs within Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Fiserv core system and reports is desirable
