About the Role

A real estate investment and development firm focused on multifamily housing is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive Analyst or Associate of Asset Management/Asset Manager to join its growing team. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of properties, with a focus on improving performance and ensuring long-term operational success. This is an excellent fit for candidates with 2–5 years of experience in finance or real estate who thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of properties from development to stabilized asset management

  • Collaborate with internal teams (development, construction, finance) and external property managers

  • Assist with property-level budgeting and business planning during lease-up phases

  • Analyze monthly financial performance vs. budget and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Contribute to building design and operational planning to ensure long-term efficiency

  • Oversee regulatory compliance reporting and communication with partners/investors

  • Build strong working relationships with third-party property management teams

  • Identify operational and financial optimization strategies across assigned properties


Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in real estate, asset management, or finance

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., business, finance, real estate)

  • Understanding of multifamily housing; interest in affordable housing (LIHTC, Section 8) is a plus

  • High proficiency with Excel; experience with property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage) preferred

  • Strong analytical, time management, and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Self-directed with a collaborative approach

  • Ability to travel as needed to portfolio sites


Work Environment

  • Office-based work with regular computer use

  • Occasional local/regional travel

  • Ability to lift/move up to 15 lbs on occasion


Compensation: $90,000 – $125,000 base salary + bonus
