Asset Machine Superintendent
ASSET OWNER
Position overview: Responsible for the performance related to one / several line(s)
- Creates and executes a daily action plan for the team
- Develops the skills & autonomy of production operators
- Supports the other members of the LCT in the implementation and continuous improvement of their respective DMS elements
Key meetings
- Daily Rhythm & Schedule (DRS)
- T0/T1 handover meeting / shift huddle (rotating with the other members of the LCT)
- T2 LCT meeting
- T3 Area meeting
- Profitability Meeting (VPF)
Daily Rhythm & Schedule (DRS) responsibilities
- Supports the development and execution of the shift action plan
- Leads daily LCT meetings in order to identify priority actions for the next 24 hours, define a daily action plan, and allocate an owner from the LCT to each action
- Presents updates on the departments last 24 hours, the action plan for the next 24 hours, and the support required from the area supervisor
Daily Management Systems (DMS): Clean, inspect, and lubricate (CIL)
- Defines and implements a standard process to clean, inspect, and lubricate the equipment, shares/coaches best practices with the other Asset Owners and operators
- Ensures the process is executed according to defined standards and continuously improves that process based on lessons learned
Human Resources
- Provides disciplinary management
- Meets weekly with trainers to monitor the progress of newly trained employees
- Documents and measures each employee’s performance to prepare for annual evaluation
- Checks operator schedule weekly. Assists with finding employee coverage where necessary
- Validates training evaluations (task training)
Safety
- Performs Safety audits
- Defines an order and cleanliness action plan
- Manages the investigations to be made in relation to incidents
- Performs departmental audits
- Conducts a monthly analysis of the corrective interactions of employees
Operation
- Plans machine cleaning stops
- Validates performance over the last 24 hours
- Communicates the daily action plan to their team
- Validates SAP transactions
- Validates time losses and defines an action plan
- Updates One Certification procedures
- Ensure pre-shut tasks are completed
- Work with manager to ensure proper supplies are in place for the operation (PPE, tools, etc.)
Other
- Covers the watch period during the week according to the schedule: answers calls related to operational problems, lack of raw materials, labor shortages, and electrical/mechanical maintenance issues
- Validates the quality tests from the last 24 hours (daily) and follows up with faulty employees
- Other Duties as assigned
