Assembly Technician
Shift: Monday–Friday, 5am-1:30pm/3:30pm depending on client's needs

Position Summary
The Cooler Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling air-cooled heat exchangers according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have direct, hands-on experience assembling air-cooled air exchangers and be proficient in the use of mechanical assembly tools and equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble air-cooled heat exchangers and related components according to engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and bills of materials (BOMs).
- Install tubes, headers, fan assemblies, motors, guards, structural steel, and associated mechanical components.
- Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and fastening using hand and power tools.
- Verify dimensions, tolerances, and completed assemblies meet quality standards.
- Conduct inspections throughout the assembly process and identify defects or non-conformances.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet production schedules.
- Assist with troubleshooting and rework when required.
Required Qualifications
- Direct hands-on experience assembling air-cooled air exchangers (air-cooled heat exchangers) is required.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, torque tools, and measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical assembly work, including standing, bending, and reaching throughout the shift.
- Commitment to quality workmanship and workplace safety.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment.
- Knowledge of heat exchanger manufacturing processes.
- Experience with overhead cranes and forklifts (preferred).
- Welding, rigging, or mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
