Assembly Technician
Sheetmetal Assembly Technician is responsible for the assemblies of sheet metal and machined aluminum parts per Customer’s engineering drawings and specifications.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum two years’ experience in an aerospace setting
- Ability to read blueprints and decipher drawings
REQUIREMENTS:
- Familiar with safety standards and PPE utilized in a manufacturing setting
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work overtime when needed
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Proficient in blue print reading
- Knowledge of hand tools and precision measuring tools, such as calipers, with the ability to calibrate new tools
- Ability to stay on task with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented
- Capable of mixing sealers and weigh sealers on scales
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform visual inspection of manufactured parts and traveler
- Verify parts, rivets and assembly procedures to traveler
- Confirm material specifications as given on traveler
- Assemble to IAW Engineering Drawings and special notes
- Able to use equipment designed to perform assemblies
- Verify accuracy of job and workmanship when performing jobs
- Adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes
- Accomplish organization goals by accepting ownership for all new and different requests
- Explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
- Meet production goals in terms of cycle time, quantity, and quality
- Miscellaneous tasks as assigned
Hours:
First Shift: Mon. - Fri., 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
*Second Shift: Mon. - Thurs., 3 p.m. - 1:30 a.m. (two openings)
Weekend Shift: Thurs. - Sun., 4 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Compensation: $15 to $17/HR.
