Overview
Peskind Executive Search is representing a fast-growing communications technology company seeking an Assembly Technician to support high-volume electronics production.
This is a hands-on role responsible for assembling products, maintaining quality standards, and supporting efficient production flow across the manufacturing line. The ideal candidate brings strong attention to detail, adherence to process, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Production Support
- Perform assembly of electronic components and finished products following detailed work instructions
- Support day-to-day manufacturing and assembly line operations
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and assembly equipment
Quality & Inspection
- Inspect components and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards
- Identify defects and escalate issues to supervisors or quality teams
- Support quality control processes, including random inspections and AQL standards
- Assist with basic testing and validation of assembled products
Documentation & Reporting
- Follow established work instructions and assembly procedures
- Complete production logs and report daily output
- Track defects and communicate recurring issues
- Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
Inventory & Materials Handling
- Verify components and materials prior to assembly
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle checks as needed
- Follow Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure correct part usage
- Report material shortages or discrepancies
Continuous Improvement & Support
- Identify production inefficiencies and communicate improvement opportunities
- Support initiatives to improve throughput, reduce defects, and optimize workflows
- Assist with pre-production builds, testing, and product validation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and quality teams to resolve issues
- Communicate production delays, defects, and equipment issues in a timely manner
- Support cross-functional teams during production and testing activities
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing or electronics assembly preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, diagrams, and basic schematics
- Experience using hand tools and assembly equipment
- Basic understanding of quality standards and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight
Preferred Experience
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or assembly environments
- Exposure to SMT (Surface Mount Technology) or PCB assembly
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies
- Experience in high-volume production settings
