Position Summary

Magellan Aerospace, New York (Corona, Queens) has a great opportunity for an Assembler! The successful incumbent will assemble aerospace assemblies using tools and shop equipment as required and inspect own work for conformance to Routers, blueprints and specifications. Please note this is a full-time position and it operates under the day shift.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Assemble aerospace assemblies using tools and shop equipment as required
  • Inspect own work for conformance to Routers, blueprints and specifications
  • Perform functional tests on assembly work as applicable
  • Use basic mechanical inspection equipment
  • Input data to Ellanef MRP software (with new hire training)

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Assembly inspection
  • Ability to read aerospace blueprint specifications
  • Ability to use to use standard measuring equipment and test instruments – hand tools, presses, jigs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other people.
  • Knowledge of basic shop math
  • Certificate or diploma from a technical school will be considered a plus.
