Perform group, art therapy for assigned behavioral health patients, in accordance with established treatment plan.


  • Perform Behavioral Health assessment of patient, develop treatment/service plan to meet determined care needs; revise care plan as appropriate.
  • Participate in clinical team meetings to monitor patient progress against goals; update progress notes in Claim Track and patient chart of all patient contacts within established time-frame
  • Collaborate with patient, family members and other involved parties to assess barriers to attainment of goals and/or resources
  • Respond to emergency and/or crisis situations; contact appropriate individuals and/or agencies to ensure appropriate intervention and actions to optimize patient safety; refer difficult and/or high risk cases to supervisory as appropriate
  • Document client progress and services in accordance with AHCCCS covered services guidelines.
  • Develop and implement transition, discharge and aftercare plans of assigned patients
  • Investigate and follow-up on patient complaints to ensure timely response and/or appropriate resolution to concerns/issues
  • Identify appropriate community resources and perform follow up as appropriate
  • Work closely and cooperatively with peers to review and/or revise standards, policy and procedure manuals based on findings and/or recommendations
  • Develop and maintain program schedules and monitor program capacity
  • Participate in departmental orientation, on the job training and quality assurance programs/initiatives
  • Participate in a variety of department and hospital educational programs to maintain current skill and competency levels; identify and discuss performance or training needs with Supervisor


  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or closely related field; Expressive Arts Therapy preferred
  • CPR certificate within 30 days of hire
  • Art Therapy experience required; 1 Year
  • Current State of Arizona license in behavioral health field
  • Current, valid State of Arizona driver’s license; fingerprint clearance to work with children upon hire
