The Opportunity

We are partnering with a growing, mission-driven property management organization to identify a Regional / Area Vice President of Property Management — a strategic leader who brings fresh thinking, follows through, and unites teams to deliver results. This role offers the opportunity to oversee a large, diverse portfolio while influencing systems, people, and performance at a regional level.


Role Overview

The Regional / Area Vice President of Property Management is responsible for the operational and financial performance of an approximately 7,500-unit regional portfolio. This individual will lead through strong communication, accountability, and collaboration, supporting Regional Property Managers while driving improvements across operations, maintenance, revenue management, marketing, capital execution, and compliance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the operational and financial performance of a regional multifamily portfolio

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Regional Property Managers, supporting performance and accountability

  • Drive consistency and improvement across property operations, maintenance, and capital initiatives

  • Partner with internal teams to enhance revenue management, marketing strategy, and financial outcomes

  • Ensure compliance with landlord/tenant laws, regulatory requirements, and organizational standards

  • Support talent acquisition, development, evaluation, and succession planning within the region


Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a multi-site supervisory role within property management

  • Strong business and financial acumen with a deep understanding of real estate financials

  • Proven leadership, interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Experience collaborating across teams to improve and streamline property operations

  • Solid knowledge of landlord/tenant laws and regulatory requirements

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, property management software, revenue management systems, and related tools

  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently

Preferred:

  • CPM designation or active CPM candidacy
