Position Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Station Manager for one of the world’s most well-respected International logistics organizations providing global air & ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, express services, customs brokerage and supply chain solutions. The Area Sales Manager will manage and steer a group of Field Sales Specialists in their assigned geographic market.
Will support sales plan and targets for sales team based on country targets and will drive performance improvement of group to achieve sales goals. Additionally, will oversee sales revenue generation, profit and/or expense and develop sales plans and budgets within a defined geographic region. You will partner with other sales leaders to communicate sales problems, geographical business observations and customer feedback.

Background Required:
- International freight forwarding sales experience
- Sales team supervision (5+ years) or management (3+ years)
- Demonstrated ability to win, develop and close new business
- Proven track record in sales staff development & training
- Deep knowledge of air, ocean, imports and exports
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook
- Ability to travel to assigned as needed
- Education: Bachelor’s degree
- Residence: Greater Chicago, IL area
- Salesforce expertise
- Freight forwarding operations
- Education: Master’s degree
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
