Area Manager

Overview:

The Area Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operational performance of the organization’s restaurant portfolio in Guyana, with an initial focus on the first four stores and the expansion pipeline. This role will also provide leadership support to the second brand (first store now open), ensuring both brands maintain high standards of service, quality, and profitability.

This is a hands-on leadership role requiring 70% of time in stores—spending significant time on the floor in high-volume locations, coaching GMs, and driving consistent systems. The Area Manager will serve as the key link between brand strategy and daily execution.

Responsibilities:
  • The Area Manager is expected to spend at least 70–80% of their time physically in stores
  • Their role is to be present on the floor: observing service flow, coaching managers, solving bottlenecks, enforcing standards, and training teams in real time.
  • Administrative work (reports, scheduling reviews, supplier coordination) should be limited to off-peak hours or a few dedicated hours weekly, not a majority of their schedule.
  • Success is defined by operational presence — pushing pace in the kitchen, improving drive-thru speed, ensuring full prep/rotation, and directly supporting managers during peak rushes
