We're working with an innovative manufacturer of building envelope systems specializing in skylights, custom façades, and canopy & window systems. They combine technical engineering, functional mechanical constructability, and aesthetic design to deliver high-performance architectural solutions, especially for large commercial and parking garage projects. They are seeking an Architectural Sales Representative who bridges design, engineering, and construction to work closely with architects, general contractors, and internal engineering teams to sell the company's products.

They combine technical engineering, functional mechanical constructability, and aesthetic design to deliver high-performance architectural solutions, especially for large commercial and parking garage projects. They are seeking an Architectural Sales Representative who bridges design, engineering, and construction to work closely with architects, general contractors, and internal engineering teams to sell the company's products.
What You'll Do
- Drive architectural system sales (kinetic walls, glazing systems, skylight and canopy systems, custom façades, etc.)
- Engage architects, GC’s, and specification writers early in project cycles to specify appropriate product solutions.
- Translate architectural and engineering requirements into functional solutions: understanding wind zones, coastal/saltwater exposure, framing systems, finishes, etc.
- Collaborate with internal engineering/shop drawing teams to develop proposals, mockups, and support technical submittals.
- Maintain knowledge of building codes, glazing performance, materials (metals, glass, polycarbonate, etc.), and structural requirements.
- Support aesthetic design, ensuring product selections not only meet performance specs but also deliver high visual impact.
- Manage a sales pipeline, including developing leads, conducting site evaluations or field visits, and following up through project completion/installation.
- Provide technical insights in proposals such as assisting clients and GCs with clarifications and mitigating design/constructability conflicts.
What You'll Need
- Background with architectural & construction / GC experience (or architect & construction lead), ideally with experience in both design & on-site/project delivery.
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret structural drawings, understand framing systems, glazing/facade performance.
- Good aesthetic sensibility and the ability to work with designers/architects to deliver visually striking solutions.
- Working knowledge of environmental and weather exposures (wind zones, saltwater (coastal) effects, durability, finishes).
- Comfortable working collaboratively with engineering teams
- Willingness to learn specialized systems (e.g. kinetic walls).
- Ability to travel to project sites as needed (~20-25% of time)
- Strong communication & presentation skills.
- Self-starter attitude with the ability to prioritize and drive results without needing to reinvent the wheel.
- Comfortable balancing technical detail with sales/client relationship work.
- Strong problem solver while being attentive to both beauty and functionality.
- Ability to pick up proprietary or complex systems and become a subject matter expert.
