This is a compelling opportunity for a production-driven architectural professional ready to step into a high-impact seat at a growing, employee-owned firm. As an Architectural Designer, you will serve as a core contributor across a diverse portfolio spanning retail tenant build-outs, food production facilities, commercial buildings, and specialty structures. The firm is built on a culture of ownership, transparency, and long-term career development — offering a structured promotion matrix, and a 15-year track record of quarterly profit-sharing payouts. This is a role for a self-sufficient designer who wants to build something, not just fill a seat.

  • Perform site observations and field measurements to verify compliance with design documents.
  • Prepare approval submittals and attend review meetings as required.
  • Manage workload to meet aggressive project timelines while maintaining high drawing quality.
  • Track project progress and communicate schedule risks to the project manager in advance.
  • Communicate professionally with clients when the project manager is unavailable.
  • Guide junior team members through goals, performance standards, and feedback.
  • Apply design principles to deliver functional, budget-conscious, and visually appropriate solutions.

  • Four or more years of professional experience in architectural design with demonstrated ability to produce complete construction documents.
  • Proficiency in Revit as the primary production tool; working knowledge of Bluebeam, Adobe, and Microsoft 365.
  • Proven experience executing across retail tenant build-outs, food production facilities, commercial, or industrial project types.
  • Hands-on construction administration experience including shop drawing review, RFI response, and site observation.
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree in architecture, architectural technology, or equivalent combination of education and field experience.

Preferred
  • Architectural licensure (preferred but not required; unlicensed candidates with substantial production experience are encouraged to apply).
  • Experience within a multi-disciplinary AE firm with demonstrated ability to coordinate across structural and MEP disciplines.
  • Exposure to retail prototype rollout or large-scale food and beverage facility design with high-volume, fast-turnaround execution.
  • Interest in long-term career growth within a structured, employee-owned firm with a transparent promotion matrix and profit-sharing model.

Competencies
  • Detail-oriented production mindset with the ability to manage high-quality output under aggressive timelines.
  • High degree of independence — capable of running full project packages with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborative team contributor who thrives in an in-person, team-driven environment.
  • Proactive problem solver with strong organizational skills and a forward-thinking approach.
  • Clear, professional communicator across project teams and client-facing interactions.
