Role Overview
This opportunity is ideal for an Architect or Intern Architect who enjoys taking ownership of small to medium-sized projects with minimal supervision. You’ll be responsible for scope development, coordinating with consultants, managing project documentation, and working closely with project managers and stakeholders throughout all phases of design and construction.

Location - Hybrid. Office is Centertown West. Please note that travel is required to project sites within the NCR
Salary - $85,000 - $98,000

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead small to medium projects independently, including scope development, consultant coordination, and team management.

  • Assist with the preparation of design and contract documents.

  • Coordinate drawings and documentation with consultant teams.

  • Conduct site reviews to ensure compliance with construction documents.

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders during the construction phase.

  • Prepare and process change management documentation (CD/PCN/CO).

  • Monitor contract progress and support resolution of technical/design issues with senior architects.

  • Perform field reviews to confirm general conformance with contract documents and uphold design intent.

Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Architecture.

  • Registered Intern Architect or Architect (OAA or equivalent).

  • 5–10 years of experience in architectural design and production, with 2–5 years of construction contract administration.

  • Strong knowledge of building technologies and relevant codes/legislation (Building Code, lien legislation, etc.).

  • Proficiency in Revit and BIM 360; experience preparing and coordinating construction documents.

  • Experience with field reviews, site document processing (RFI/SI/Submittal), and contract change management.

  • Ability to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Security Clearance.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to sites.

Assets

  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Power BI.

  • Knowledge of standard contract forms (e.g., CCDC 5A/5B).

  • Familiarity with contractor software systems (Procore, Prolog, Fieldwire, etc.).

  • LEED certification.

  • Experience in design submissions (DP/BP) and responding to authority comments.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Bilingualism (English/French).
