Applications Scientist

Overview
The application scientist will work with the co-founder at our client company, supporting and representing their flagship technology. The apps scientist will conduct experiments using company equipment and showcase the capabilities of the company's instrumentation across a wide range of markets.
Location: Central, PA
Duties:
- Conduct experiments using company equipment to generate data for publications, demonstrations, application notes, and internal R&D support
- Develop, refine, and optimize scientific protocols, workflows, and new application methods using company's instrument technology
- Produce technical data, figures, and visual content for use in marketing materials, the company website, and presentations.
- Develop workflows and new apps methods for the product line
- Deliver seminars, workshops, and webinars focused on spectroscopy principles, best practices, and instrument operation
- Travel as needed. estimated average travel will be 15% of the time. occasionally up to 25%.
Ideal Skills/Knowledge:
- MS or higher (PhD preferred) in a scientific or technical field (Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science)
- Demonstrated hands-on spectroscopy experience, exposure to time-resolved spectroscopy strongly preferred
- 3+ years of successful experience in a technical or scientific field
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
