We are seeking a proactive and skilled Application Engineer to join our specialty engineered industrial products team. In this role, you will engage directly in the development of technical solutions for various machinery applications, gaining hands-on experience with critical components in process and bulk material handling industries. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn from and collaborate with our VP of Engineering, contributing immediately to critical company functions such as creating technical marketing materials and training guides. With a focus on continuous learning and operational responsibility, this position aims to develop the successful candidate into a future leader within our engineering department.
Salary: DOE per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of Engineering to support all technical requirements for designing customer-specific solutions, including CAD modeling, FEA, and specification of products.
- Participate in the creation of technical marketing materials such as project case studies, leveraging these deliverables to support the Marketing department.
- Assist in the study and documentation of the company's inspection and repair procedures, creating technical training documents for internal use.
- Engage in technical troubleshooting and support for customers, providing timely and accurate engineering expertise.
- Over time, assume responsibility for various engineering functions and potentially lead the Engineering department, driven by performance and capability.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical engineering background demonstrated through relevant coursework or equivalent professional experience.
- Hands-on experience in building or repairing machinery, vehicles, or technical components.
- Proficiency in CAD modeling; experience in FEA is advantageous.
- Experience in technical writing, including the creation of case studies and training materials.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional background in Electrical Engineering, though not mandatory.
- Prior experience specifying products for various engineering applications.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated success in a technical role within an engineering team.
