LOCATION
Uvalde, Texas Garner Field Airport
THE COMPANY
Our client is a small-mid size company (40-50 employees) located in Uvalde, Texas. We offer a variety of services for general aviation and specialize in business jet aircraft maintenance, repair, and restoration.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The A&P Mechanic will troubleshoot, repair, and perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) safety standards. Additional job requirements are as follows:
- Adhere to general work requirements.
- Perform maintenance on customer aircraft in accordance with applicable technical data and FAA regulations.
- Perform inspections, make adjustments and repairs, replace components, and correct any malfunction or deficiency with and without power applied to the aircraft.
- Access and re-install aircraft components which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks.
- Document work performed per OEM maintenance manual.
- Assist with fueling/defueling aircraft as required.
- Assist Avionics Technicians in troubleshooting and repairing aircraft.
- Assist with repairs on components detached from the aircraft, for example, flaps, ailerons, elevators, rudders, doors, and leading edges.
- Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification.
- Other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION, SKILLS & TRAINING
- Airframe and Powerplant license
- Minimum two (2) year aircraft electrical or mechanical system experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering documents and repair manual.
- Preferred knowledge of business jets, i.e. Cessna, Gulfstream, etc.
COMPENSATION
- Hourly based on experience- Benefits Package
