THE COMPANY
Our client is a small-mid size company (40-50 employees) located in Uvalde, Texas. We offer a variety of services for general aviation and specialize in business jet aircraft maintenance, repair, and restoration.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Aircraft Avionics Technicians perform inspections, testing, troubleshooting, equipment removal, installation, configuration, software updates, maintenance, and repair of aircraft instruments and avionics components using standard electronic test equipment and specialized tools to meet AAFRs, STCs and industry standards. Manufacture and or install sheet metal provisions to support avionics, electrical harnesses, and cabling.

- Frequent work in small spaces, extreme temperatures, and heights above six feet, noisy environments and flying.
- Frequent work with products, materials and chemicals associated with aircraft maintenance.
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license and pass company insurance requirements.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Willing to work scheduled shifts and unscheduled overtime as needed.

EDUCATION, SKILLS & TRAINING
Technical expertise and leadership in performing avionics testing, repair and troubleshooting per industry standards ensuring quality and efficiency of installation. Experience with Garmin, Bendix King, Aspen, Honeywell and Collins preferred. Experience with avionics and electrical testing equipment, hand tools, wire strippers, crimpers, and soldering. Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics. A&P License a plus, FCC License or Repairman Certificate preferred. 4+ years’ experience in aircraft avionics or accredited avionics schooling with at least 2 years hands-on technical experience.
