A growing regional airport is seeking an experienced and dynamic Air Service & Business Development Manager to lead strategic efforts in expanding air service, driving business development, and enhancing the airport’s market presence. This leadership role is pivotal in advancing the airport’s competitive position, building strong industry partnerships, and delivering measurable growth outcomes. The successful candidate will play a key role in strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and marketing execution to propel the airport’s success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Airline & Charter Recruitment: Develop and execute a strategic air service recruitment plan to attract new airlines and charter operations.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and nurture relationships with airline partners, aviation stakeholders, and local/regional business organizations.

  • Marketing & Promotion: Design and implement innovative marketing strategies to boost the airport’s visibility and utilization.

  • Business Development: Drive initiatives to attract businesses to the airport’s industrial and general aviation facilities.

  • Contract Oversight: Review and monitor airport contracts and leases to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends and data to identify growth opportunities, prepare feasibility studies, and inform strategic decisions.

  • Public Relations: Act as a key liaison for public relations, community outreach, and emergency management coordination.

  • Strategic Contribution: Contribute to the airport’s master planning, compliance strategies, and long-term growth initiatives.

  • Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of marketing and business development programs.

Must Have Qualifications

  • Three to five years of closely related airport experience or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • Knowledge of airline industry, Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR Part 139) and Transportation Security Regulations (FAR Part 1542)
  • Above average verbal and written communications skills
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management, marketing, public administration or closely related field
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License
